Let Candidates Meet You Before the Interview Starts
Adding a Welcome Video is a great way to introduce yourself and your company to candidates before you meet them. It helps set the tone, builds excitement, and gives candidates helpful context about the role and your team — all before the first question is even asked.
Plus, recording this once means you don’t have to repeat the same intro in every interview. It saves you time and lets you focus more on getting to know each candidate.

How Do I Add a Welcome Video?
Step 1: Log in to Your Hellohire Account
Go to https://www.tryhellohire.com and log in with your credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to the Jobs Section
Click “Jobs” in the upper-left corner of your dashboard.
Step 3: Select a Job
Choose the job where you want to add a Welcome Video.
Step 4: Open the Interview Tab
Click on the “Interview” tab in the left-hand menu and proceed with below.
How Can I Add My Video?
You have three options to add a Welcome Video to the Interview section.
Option 1: Record Your Video in Hellohire
1. Click “Record video”
2. To start recording, click the circle button in the bottom left corner
3. To stop, click the square button
4. When done, click “Save”
Option 2: Upload an Existing Video
1. Click “Upload or link video”
2. Choose Upload a video and drag/click to add a file
- Accepted file types: .MP4 or .MOV
- Max file size: 100MB
3. Click “Add” to upload your video
Option 3: Link to a Hosted Video
1. Click “Upload or link video”
2. Choose Link to a video and add the link
- Supported sources: YouTube, Vimeo, Vidyard, Wistia
3. Click “Add” to save your link
What Should I Say in the Video?
Your pre-interview video can be short. About 2-3 minutes is a good target for sharing enough information with the candidates and keeping their attention.
Sample script
As a rough script you can answer these questions:
"Hi I'm *NAME*, *JOB-TITLE* with *COMPANY*"
- Why do you love working for *COMPANY*?
- What kind of opportunities are there for team members?
- What are you looking for in a candidate?
- What are the general responsibilities of a team member?
"We're looking forward to meeting you!"

Can I Add a Waiting Video Too?
Yes! In addition to your Welcome Video, you can add a Waiting Video — this is shown to candidates while they're waiting to be interviewed. It's a great way to:
1. Share more about your culture
2. Introduce team members
3. Highlight testimonials or company milestones
