Cancel an Interview Session

Cancelling an interview session is usually done if you have an empty session with no registrations, and would like to remove it from the view of potential candidates.

You can also cancel a session after candidates have started to register, which is not recommended but can be done if needed.


For example, you may need to cancel an interview session if a conflicting event has occurred which no longer allows the interviewers to attend the interview.


Selecting the Trash Bin icon will prompt a confirmation to delete the session, which will then be removed from the list of available times.





By cancelling the session, the candidates will automatically have their interview cancelled as well. They will get an automatic email letting them know the session was cancelled, and inviting them to check the registration page for the role to select another interview time (if one is available).


For your interview team, when an Admin user cancels the interview session, the assigned interviewers will also be sent an automatic email letting them know the 'event' has been cancelled. 


Only the interviewers assigned to that specific date and time will be notified, which ensures the flow of notifications go directly to the people affected by the cancellation.
