How to Set Up Registration and Screening Questions

The Registration and Screening Questions section in Hellohire helps you evaluate candidates efficiently before interviews begin. With the help of AI-powered tools and custom question options, you can streamline your hiring process by gathering key information early on.

This section also helps assess candidate fit through resume scoring based on the job description and requirements you provide.



Navigating to the Pre-screen Tab

1. Log in to Your Hellohire Account
     

    Go to https://www.tryhellohire.com and log in with your credentials.

2. Go to the Jobs Section


    Click on “Jobs” in the upper left corner of your screen. 



3. Select the Job


    Choose the job for which you’d like to set up the pre-screen questions.



4. Open the Pre-screen Tab


    Click on the “Pre-screen” tab to get started.




How to Create Screening Questions

You have two options when creating screening questions in Hellohire:


Option 1: Use AI to Generate Questions


1.Click “Generate with AI.”



2. Provide a detailed job description and clearly state the specific requirements you're looking for.


3. Click "Generate". The system will automatically generate relevant pre-screening questions tailored to your job post.

    This is a great way to get started quickly, especially if you're unsure what to ask.



Option 2: Add Questions Manually


1. Click “Add question.”


2. Type your screening question and select the preferred answer format (e.g., multiple choice, short text, yes/no).

    Use this option if you already have a list of questions you'd like to ask or need to create highly specific prompts.



Screening Question Types

Registration and Screening Questions can collect different kinds of information from your candidates.

Pre-screenAllow or deny registration for your event. The pre-screen question follows the structure of a mandatory "Multiple Choice - single answer" question but also allows you to specific which answer options allow or block candidates from registering for an interview.• How many years of retail experience do you have?

2. Filter applicants based on must-have skills or experience

3. Collect valuable insights before the live interview
