How to get your API key from Apploi?
Let’s get you set up! Your first step is to request an API key from Apploi. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Request the API Key
Send an email to api@apploi.com and request an API key to enable the integration with Hellohire.
Step 2: Sign the Data Addendum
1. Apploi will send you a Data Addendum Agreement.
2. Review, sign, and return the agreement—this step is required before your API key can be created.
Step 3: Receive Your API Key
1. After the agreement is signed, Apploi will generate your API credentials.
2. You’ll receive a secure link that includes your API key and, if applicable, your Team ID.
3. Open the link and securely save your credentials—you’ll need them in the next step!
How to connect Hellohire to Apploi?
Once you have your API key, connecting Hellohire to Apploi only takes a few minutes.
Step 1: Navigate to Integration
1. Log in to your Hellohire account: https://www.tryhellohire.com
2. Click the dropdown in the top-right corner of your screen.
3. Select Manage organization > Integrations.
4. Click the dropdown beside Integrations and select Apploi.
Step 2: Enter Credentials
1. Input your API Key and Team ID (from the 1Password secure link Apploi sent you, which can be opened by the Hellohire team).
2. Connect and toggle the "Enabled" switch to activate the integration.
Step 3: Set Up Job Mapping
Job Mapping helps Hellohire match candidates to relevant Apploi job listings using keywords.
To set up Job Mapping:
1. Click "Add Job Mapping".
2. Under Hellohire Job, select the job you want to map.
3. In the Keywords field, enter keywords that match relevant Apploi job titles.
- Separate multiple keywords with commas (e.g., caregiver, RN, nurse).
- Use * to map all Apploi jobs to the selected Hellohire job.
Examples: - Keyword: caregiver → Matches titles like "Part-Time Caregiver", "Full-Time Caregiver"
- Keyword: registered nurse → Matches titles like "Registered Nurse Supervisor", "Registered Nurse (RN)"
Note: Keywords are case-insensitive and will automatically apply to any future job postings.
4. Click "Save".
Step 4: Set Up Status Mapping (Optional)
Status Mapping allows Hellohire to automatically sync candidate status updates with Apploi.
To set up Status Mapping:
1. See the Hellohire Status column.
2. In the adjacent column, enter the corresponding Apploi Status for each.
3. Click "Save" to apply changes.
What happens next?
1. Hellohire automatically syncs with Apploi.
2. New applicants are imported directly into your Hellohire account.
3. Candidates appear in your dashboard, ready to move forward in the hiring process.
