Hellohire offers a custom integration with ApplicantStack to make your hiring process more efficient. Once connected, Hellohire will automatically check for new applicants in ApplicantStack every hour and add them to your Hellohire account — so you can spend less time on manual tasks and more time meeting great candidates.
This guide walks you through setting up the integration so you can start scheduling interviews seamlessly.
How to get your API key from ApplicantStack?
To set up the integration, you'll need a few details from your ApplicantStack account. Here’s how to get started:
Step 1: Get Your ApplicantStack API Key
1. You’ll need an API key to connect your ApplicantStack account with Hellohire.

Step 2: Find Your ApplicantStack Domain
Your domain should follow this format: https://{yourdomain}.applicantstack.com
How to connect Hellohire to ApplicantStack?
Step 1: Navigate to Integration
1. Log in to your Hellohire account: https://www.tryhellohire.com
2. Click the dropdown in the top-right corner of your screen.
3. Select Manage organization > Integrations.
4. Click the dropdown beside Integrations and select ApplicantStack
Step 2: Enter Credentials
1. Input your Domain and API Key.
2. Connect and toggle the "Enabled" switch to activate the integration.
3. Click "Integrate with ApplicantStack".
Step 3: Set Up Job Mapping
Create a list of keywords that will help Hellohire map each ApplicantStack job title to the correct job within Hellohire.
This step ensures each applicant is routed to the right interview process automatically.
To set up Job Mapping:
1. Click "Add Job Mapping".
2. Under Hellohire Job, select the job you want to map.
3. In the Keywords field, enter keywords that match relevant ApplicantStack job titles.
- Separate multiple keywords with commas (e.g., caregiver, RN, nurse).
- Use * to map all ApplicantStack jobs to the selected Hellohire job.
Examples:
- Keyword: caregiver → Matches titles like "Part-Time Caregiver", "Full-Time Caregiver"
- Keyword: registered nurse → Matches titles like "Registered Nurse Supervisor", "Registered Nurse (RN)"
Note: Keywords are case-insensitive and will automatically apply to any future job postings.
4. Click "Save".
What happens next?
1. Hellohire automatically syncs with ApplicantStack every hour.
2. New applicants are imported directly into your Hellohire account.
3. Candidates appear in your dashboard, ready to move forward in the hiring process.
