If a candidate is having trouble logging in to Hellohire or is stuck on the login page, the issue may be caused by having two Hellohire accounts created using different login methods.
Why does this happen?
Hellohire provides two login options:
- Log in with Google – allows candidates to use their Google account.
- Create a password – allows candidates to create and use a Hellohire password.
For candidates using Gmail, they may accidentally create two separate accounts by using both options. This can prevent them from accessing the correct account or continuing with the interview scheduling process.
How to Fix the Login Issue
Ask the candidate to try the following steps in order:
1. Log in with Google
First, have the candidate:
- Log out of Hellohire.
- Return to the Hellohire login page.
- Click Log in with Google.
- Select the Gmail account they used when applying or scheduling.
If they can log in successfully, they should be able to continue with the interview process.
2. Reset the Hellohire Password
If Log in with Google does not work:
- Log out of Hellohire.
- Select Forgot Password.
- Enter the candidate's email address.
- Follow the instructions sent to their email to reset their Hellohire password.
- Log in using the newly created password.
3. Try an Incognito/Private Window
If the issue continues:
- Open an Incognito window in Chrome or a Private browsing window in another browser.
- Go to the Hellohire login page.
- Select Forgot Password.
- Enter the candidate's email address.
- Reset the password and try logging in again.
Using an Incognito/Private window can help avoid conflicts with an existing Google login session or cached account information.
